No. Flexible delineators are used to physically highlight the route, but the obligation or prohibition must always be sanctioned by the vertical signs placed at the beginning of the section concerned.

These are all those devices (margin delineators, reflective panels, road nails) that help to better visualize the progress of the road, especially in critical conditions, by integrating the information of the main signs.

Are ground paints necessary for signs to be valid?

Horizontal and vertical signs must work in harmony. A STOP sign, for example, must always be accompanied by the corresponding transversal stop strip drawn on the pavement to be fully effective.
