Can leather gloves be washed?

No, we do not recommend washing leather gloves with water because as they dry, the leather tends to stiffen and crack, losing its protective properties. They can be dry cleaned by brushing off dirt.

Do they protect against heat?

Yes, especially split leather has excellent natural resistance to heat. However, for handling hot objects or for welding, you should check that the glove has the specific EN 407 (thermal hazards) certification.

Are they suitable for working with oils?

Leather is porous and tends to absorb oils and greases, becoming slippery and heavy. For work in contact with oily substances, we suggest opting for Nitrile gloves.
