General Description:
• It is a prescription sign (prohibition) belonging to the category of no-transit signs, provided for by art. 117 of the Regulations for the execution and implementation of the Highway Code.
• Figure II 60/a indicates the prohibition of transit for vehicles with a total laden mass of more than 3.5 tonnes, whatever the type of vehicle (lorries, buses, lorries, etc.), unless otherwise indicated.

Technical features:

• Shape: circular (disc).
• Diameter: 60 cm – standard size for main urban and secondary suburban roads.
• Reflective film class: Class 1 – normal reflective film, compliant with UNI EN 12899-1 standard.
• Border color: red (prohibition band).

Inner Symbol:

• buses with a mass exceeding 3.5 t,
• except for exceptions indicated by supplementary panels (e.g. "except residents", "except loading and unloading", etc.).


Application:

The signal is installed:

• on roads or bridges with structural capacity limitations;
• in built-up areas or sensitive environmental areas where access to heavy vehicles is prohibited;
• on secondary or mountain roads where heavy traffic can be dangerous.

Installation example:

• Support: galvanized pole Ø 48–60 mm.
• Height (lower edge from the ground): 1.5 – 2.2 m.
• Positioning: right side of the roadway, clearly visible as it approaches.
• Supplementary panels: optional to specify exceptions or particular limits.
