General Description:

• Vertical road sign of prescription, made of Class 1 reflective sheet metal, in compliance with figure II 45 of the Annex to the Regulations for the execution and implementation of the Highway Code (Presidential Decree 495/1992), which indicates:

"Right of way in alternating one-way streets"

• The sign authorizes vehicles to proceed with the right of way on alternating one-way road sections, in the presence of temporary or permanent narrowings.

• Material: Hot-dip galvanized sheet metal or aluminum, minimum thickness 25/10

• Red down arrow (direction that must give way)

Function and Use:

• The sign Fig. II 45 is installed at the beginning of a road section with alternating traffic to indicate that the driver has the right of way over oncoming vehicles.

• Road construction sites with reduced carriageway

• Single lane bridges

• Narrow tunnels

• Urban or extra-urban sections with temporarily regulated traffic


It must be installed in combination with the opposite sign (fig. II 41 – "Give way in alternating one-way streets") placed on the other side of the narrowing.
